International Arts and Crafts Gifts Market

Due to the great success of The Plymouth Street Fair,  Cherrycraft Fayres are presenting this event for the fifteenth year to coincide with the Christmas festivities.
We are inviting interested Crafts persons to participate in this event to a limited number of craft stalls. The emphasis will be on high quality British and International crafts, unique gifts,  confectionery,  preserves,  Continental food and crafts 
A maximum of 50 crafts will be allowed this year and no more than three of each type will be knowingly accepted other than
jewellery. 
All applications are to be accompanied by photographs of your work to ensure that high standards are kept and that only hand crafted goods and unique gifts are exhibited and sold. If you have already exhibited with Cherrycraft then this process is not necessary.
If a table is used then storage of cardboard boxes and packaging materials must be covered by suitable drapery in order to ensure high quality of visual appearance. Signs should be professionally prepared and hand written temporary signs will not be allowed. The organiser reserves the right to ensure that the high standard required is maintained.
The presentation of the Market overall, effects every stallholders marketing opportunities and empty stalls detract from the overall appearance of the market. Therefore a penalty of £30.00 per day for non attendance shall be enforced, so please ensure you have cover for illness or emergencies. This restriction applies to all stallholders and all days booked.
TIMES:-
9.00am -5.30pm daily with the exception of Thursday 9.00am - 9.00pm. Sunday 10.30am - 4.30pm (Stallholders are to ensure that their stalls are ready and manned at all times of opening).
DEMONSTRATING
:- Demonstrating is greatly encouraged,, and extra space will (where possible) be given to those demonstrating their craft.
CHARGES:-Please see application forms for charges an average of  (£6.50 ft frontage crafts). £7.50 gifts and £8.50 food concessions .
Full payment must accompany applications. Post dated cheques for 19 September 2010 will be accepted. 
Any payment received after 19th September will incur a surcharge of 5% full value of stand price.
A 5 % reduction will be given applicants booking whole event and pay in full before 19 September 2010
All cheques made payable to "W R COMBER Fairs Acc" and addressed to Walt Comber, Woodhey off Kents Rd Torquay, TQ1 2NN.
CANCELLATIONS:- Cancellations by craft's people made within twenty one days of the Festival are liable to full stand fee, or such balance which is outstanding, Irrespective of weather the payment terms have been varied for any reason on either side. All cancellations made prior to this will receive  a full refund less booking and administration fee
ELECTRICITY:- Electricity is available for lighting if requested on the original booking form (please ensure you bring a two way extension lead and socket). Prompt booking is advised as there is a limit to the number of stalls displaying similar materials. All electrical
equipment used on site must carry current PAT test certification. Stands will be inspected and any untested item will be tested and charged to the stallholder. All lamps must have a guard fitted over the bulb. No high wattage halogen lamps are allowed.
PARKING:- All Craft traders will be issued with a car pass to load and unload goods at the site , however all vehicles must be removed from the pedestrian area between the 8.00am and 6.00pm. (City Parking permits may be aquired from Plymouth City Council at a reduced rate when bought as a monthly permit).
ADVERTISING:- The event will be extensively advertised through the internet, national and local press, local radio, posters, handbills, street banners and road signs to ensure every chance of stallholders having a profitable period.
INSURANCE COVER:- Craft traders shall indemnify Cherrycraft Fayres and the Council against all claims and proceedings etc resulting in death, personal injury and loss or damage to property howsoever arising as a result of the granting of the Street Trading Consents except in so far as the death or personal injury is attributable to the negligence or wilful default of Cherrycraft, its agents or employees and to support this indemnity with a policy of public liability indemnity insurance in the sum of at least £2,000,000 for any one incident but otherwise unlimited during the period.
SECURITY:- The site will be guarded and security patrols will be in attendance at the site from one hour after trading ends until one hour before trading starts and you may wish to leave your stand set up for the duration of the fair.    (CHERRYCRAFT FAYRES MUST EMPHASISE THAT YOU DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK AND WILL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE OR LOSS TO STALLHOLDERS EQUIPMENT AND PROPERTY).
FESTIVAL CANCELLATION:-
If the Crafts Festival is abandoned, cancelled, postponed because of force majeure or any other cause not within the control of the organisers then the organisers cannot accept responsibility for any costs incurred by craft's people in connection with such cancellation nor undertake any refund of fees or fees payable.
